  • There is a gaping loophole in eBay's so-called guaranteed buyer protection.

If a seller manages to keep you hanging on for 45 days or more, waiting for delivery, eBay will do nothing at all about recovering your money or exposing the fraudster!

I was swindled by a Czech fraudster, Franta Holada (fanda@motofanda.cz), from whom I ordered a motorcycle part at over £250. He claimed his machinery was broken and needed fixing before that part could be dispatched. As soon as the 45 day limit expired, I never heard from this person again, despite numerous phone calls and emails.

Ebay took no interest in the case, and did nothing to alert other potential buyers that this seller was a conman. He is still "selling" on eBay even now!
